I’ve written this post at least three dozen times in my head over the past week.
I will be talking about pregnancy so if you need to click away, please do so now.

BigP decided at the end of last year that we would not be able to cycle this year until December due to his work schedule. I had decided to make the best of it and try to lose weight and make the best out of waiting.
About six months ago (or so) I decided to start charting my cycles. Just the very basic info about when my period came and left. I did count cycle days at the end of each cycle just to have it on the calendar so I could reference later. I didn’t madly count cycle days or time intercourse. It is a miracle that with weight lose and a healthier lifestyle I was even getting my period on my own. For years it took medication for me to get a period.
I have been getting excited about the fact that we will be cycling soon. Anticipation, like a child waiting for Christmas.
The last two months I’ve really been enjoying sex for the sake of sex again. Shocker, that a married couple could have sex for fun, intimacy, and connection.
But I didn’t get my period this last time when my best friend did…which was weird.
And I was peeing more. And my dog was acting weird.
Even weirder was when pee sticks were coming back positive.
I went to an OB today and got an ultrasound. I’m 5w1d and I have a fetal sac.
We got pregnant on our own.
I’m not sure what to do with that.
If you know me in real life or elsewhere on the internet (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc) please please please do not say anything. I am coming out to my lovely blog community but not to everyone else yet. Our families don’t know (except my sister because she works at my doctor’s office) and I want to wait to tell everyone else. Thanks!
Oh my!! Congratulations! I bet you are still staring at those positive pee sticks and not believing them!
